Drug Uses
Nasacort is used to relieve nasal symptoms of hay fever and other allergies. It treats such symptoms as- nasal congestion, itchy/runny nose, sneezing.

How Taken
Nasacort Nasal Spray comes as a solution to spray into nostrils. The general dosage is- 1–4 times a day. Before using Nasacort, blow your nose so that your nasal passages are cleared. After spraying Nasacort into nostrils, do not blow your nose for approximately 15 minutes.

Warnings/Precautions
While using Nasacort Nasal Spray, your immune system might not be able to fight off infections, therefore you should tell your doctor if you have a bacterial, viral or fungal infection of any kind. This drug is in the FDA pregnancy category C, which means that studies in animals have revealed adverse effects on the fetus (teratogenic or embryocidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women, or studies in women and animals are not available. Also it is not known if Nasacort passes through breast milk. Therefore, do not use Nasacort Nasal Spray without your doctor`s approval if you are pregnant, likely to become pregnant or breast feeding. Nasacort should not be used by children under 12 years old.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are- stinging, irritation, burning or dryness of the nasal passages, sneezing, nosebleed, headache, lightheadedness, loss of taste, throat irritation, nausea, nose or throat irritation/soreness, broken or damaged nasal membranes, unusual weakness, weight loss, vomiting, fainting, dizziness, vision changes. If you experience any of these or any other side effects contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Storage
Store this medication at room temperature 20–25°C (68–77°F). Keep away from children and excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom).

Overdose
If overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately.

More Information
