Low-carb update

This low-carb eating is harder than I anticipated since EVERYTHING has sugar added. Or that miracle food "high fructose corn syrup." I know; I exaggerate a bit. Obviously, I should have planned a bit more. Today has gone better. My greatest sugar intake is via beverages in the form of sugar in coffee and the occasional (?) Coke. Now I'm trying to drink tea because I take it black but I can't cut out the coffee completely or I'll have caffeine-withdrawal headaches. Oh, the tangled web.

And that's it for the boring update.

I wrote that yesterday. Today has been a high carb day.

How's my head? Thanks for asking. The "whooshing" in my ears is worse and I have a mild headache. Anecdotally, I suspect that the sugar has something to do with it. As a scientist, I know that could just be my bias. I absolutely know that I feel hungrier even though I've actually eaten more. It's that evil sugar/insulin relationship.

New plan is to actually keep track of what I eat and when plus how I'm feeling. It will be tedious but I'm not going to do it forever.

I've bought a carb guide. I was going to buy an actual low-carb diet book but almost all of them are low carb and low fat. WTF. I guess you basically consume protein and water. Yum. Not. I'll stick with low carb foods and that's about it for the plan.
