Green Tea seems to be one of the latest health crazes. It's even available as a .
According to the , green tea has been used in the treatment of several different types of cancers, including breast, stomach, and skin cancers. It has also been believed to assist with "mental alertness, aiding in weight loss, lowering cholesterol levels, and protecting skin from sun damage."
Based on research studies, scientists have determined the folowing concerning green tea:
- Some studies suggest that green tea may be helpful in slowing the growth of certain cancers, but these studies show mixed results.
- Some evidence suggests that preparing green tea may have an effect on mental alertenss because of the level of caffeine in the tea, but this has not been determined.
- Green tea should be used in moderation as too much of it could have a negative effect.
